Men's Ultra Silver Trunks
The world’s most amazing underpants.Our Ultra Silver Trunks are the softest, most comfortable, most technical base layer pants we’ve ever made.
They’re made from an astonishing fabric. It’s phenomenally light weight – but it’s also reassuringly durable. It’s a high-specification polyester which has been knitted with an incredible 66 gauge construction. The tear resistance is not huge – you wouldn’t want to snag them. But, unless you’re a leading light in the Y-Front Hedgerow Hurdling Society, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem. The abrasion resistance, though, is amazing. Which means they’ll last for ages.
Unusually, for something so fine, they’re also extremely opaque. Not an essential property for a technical base layer but it’s quite nice to have if you’re staying in a communal chalet, hut or trekking lodge.
We’ve also incorporated Polygiene™ into the blend – this is a clever, patented anti-microbial technology which employs ionic silver to inhibit the growth of micro-organisms and the associated build-up of odour. Basically, you can wear them rather longer than average before washing becomes essential.
And when you do decide their tour of duty is coming to an end, you’ll find them easy to wash – in the machine or by hand. They’ll comfortably dry overnight, ready to go again the next morning.
Needless to say, the Ultra Silver Trunks tick all the ‘performance boxes’ you’d expect from a technical base layer. They’ve been treated with our Dynamic Moisture Control™ finish so they’re incredibly high-wicking and dry in a flash.
They’re perfect for trekking, biking and other highly active use but they’re also a great choice for adventurous travel. And, in summer, they’re ideal everyday underwear.
