Women's Roamers
The first-choice trousers for British walkers.
We believe our Roamers are the most comfortable and functional walking trousers around. And lots of our most active customers seem to agree. They’re our best-selling women’s trousers - by a country mile.
And it’s no surprise.
They’re made from a sophisticated blend of polyamide and stretchy elastane so, naturally, they’re tough, wind resistant and durable. But they’re also light, highly breathable and supremely comfortable.
They’ve got a nice, understated appearance too - they don’t look too ‘technical’. So, whilst they’ll go the distance on the toughest treks they don’t look or feel out of place when you’re bobbing around town or enjoying a meal in a posh country pub.
They feature two hand pockets and two security pockets - one hidden inside the right-hand pocket and one in the left leg seam. They’re not large but they’re perfect for keeping small valuables and travel documents safe, secure and close at hand.
Essentially, Roamers are a mild-weather alternative to our hugely popular Striders and, although not quite as warm, they’re more versatile - if you’re walking in Britain from Spring through to Autumn, you’d be hard pressed to find a better choice. And, if you’d rather not stretch to a second pair of trousers for the winter, layering our Roamers up with our Superfine Merino 150 Leggings will extend their usefulness well into the colder months.
And, if you’re wearing them in the high Summer, you’ll be pleased to know that the fabric offers Total* resistance to the harmful effects of UV radiation. Not absolutely essential in the UK but very nice to know if you’re planning a walking trip to Mallorca, Corsica or Morocco.
*A Note on Sun Protection
Our sun protective clothing is tested in accordance with EN 13858-2 standards. Garments awarded our Total (UPF 40+) rating block 98% of harmful UVA + UVB radiation to covered areas. The protection offered may be reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet.
