There are many good places nearby for coffee and cake, especially in the pedestrian passages to the east of Union Street. The team would recommend the dog friendly Good Day Café, as well as The Whole Bagel, and for speciality coffee, Casscara – all of which can be found on Upper Borough Walls. If you’re looking for something to take home, pop into the Bertinet bakery just up from the Rohan shop.

For a meal, head to the Tapas Revolution in the new Southgate shopping area, The Raven or Wild Café (both on Queen Street), and The Ivy Brasserie on Milsom Street.

It is also worth taking the time to look around Bath Abbey and the Roman Baths, as well as the Royal Crescent and Victoria Park. There are also Georgian-themed walks and guided ghost tours of the city as well as hop-on, hop-off bus tours.
