High wicking with our Dynamic Moisture Control technology, the material of this shirt will work to move moisture away from your skin, allowing it to evaporate quickly. The relaxed fit allows for comfort and ease of movement while you go about your day.
The Portreath Shirt has our UPF40+ Sun Protection technology, meaning that while wearing the shirt you will be protected from the dangers of harmful UV rays, allowing you explore with confidence. This protection only applies to areas covered by the shirt.
If you plan to wear the shirt for a long duration, the FreshWay™ antimicrobial technology within the shirt will help to keep you feeling fresh and ready for adventure for longer. This treatment works by distributing tiny traces of silver throughout the garment, which naturally neutralises the buildup of odour causing bacteria and mould.
For ease of wear and to allow you to quickly take it on and off, this shirt features snap fasteners on the central placket instead of traditional buttons. The adjustable cuffs also feature snap fasteners, making them easy to adjust on the move.

I’ve given up trying to undo them as I fear that I might damage or tear the material of the shirt. So I’ve resolved to keep most of the studs done up! However, on 2 recent purchases eg Portreath men’s shirt, the button holes or snap buttons are FAR TOO TIGHT. Such a shame as I loved the shirt designs but had to return them as the buttons were just a hassle - not acceptable on a £75 or so shirt! Surely Rohan must try them beforehand?? Or perhaps only young, dexterous people try them and don’t realise that the older you get, the more difficult it is to manipulate buttons. I also buy Rohan shirts as they have breast pockets which most shirts don’t now have. I need the pocket for my spectacles and biro. It’s a really good fit and very comfortable. I like the snap buttons. However the cuffs do require a certain technique for undoing as the snap buttons are quite tight. Garments treated with our FreshWay; Anti Odour Silver technology benefit from the natural antimicrobial properties of silver. Tiny traces of silver, distributed evenly throughout the garment, inhibit the growth of bacteria reducing mould and odour. This treatment is permanent – it will never wash or wear out.

Sun Protection UPF 40+
This garment has been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection – and has been awarded a rating of UPF 40+. The protection offered may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.
