The Full Story
The Men’s Ventus Jacket stands tough against the elements with our 3-Layer Barricade Standard technology. This 3-layer construction method bonds together a water repellent outer, waterproof-breathable membrane, and a moisture-wicking inner, to create the ultimate waterproof, windproof and breathable protection.
As an additional layer of protection, the Ventus Jacket is coated with our Durable Water Repellency finish, so when it rains, water droplets bead up and run off the outer rather than soaking the fabric. With an added stiff peak its exactly what you want in prolonged or heavy downpours.
Fitted with two AquaGuard pockets, you don’t need to worry about your valuables getting wet. They will fit essentials like OS Maps, so you can store the important things at your fingertips. On those especially cold days, the smart zipper pullers allow you to get into your pockets without removing your gloves. And if you get a little hot after powering up a hillside, the AquaGuard underarm zips will provide you a much-needed cooldown.
Fabric: 100% Polyamide

Bought to replace an ageing Guardian, which is basically an older version of the same design and has been my go-to water/windproof/general use coat for the last 10 years. Slight gripes: the hood doesn't tuck away or tie down, which is a nuisance in windy weather (I'm experimenting with a Velcro fastener), the interior pocket is too small, and it would be useful to have a chest pocket that doesn't require unzipping the jacket to access. Was this review helpful?14 days agoMen's Ventus Waterproof Jacket Electric BlueBeautifully made and I would wear it rain or shine.2 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?6 months agoMen's Ventus Waterproof Jacket Solar OrangeThe main zip sticks and Rohan refuse to give a refund.3 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?7 months agoMen's Ventus Waterproof Jacket Solar OrangeVery pleased with my Ventus jacket. I have been assured this will ease.2 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?8 months agoMen's Ventus Waterproof Jacket Solar OrangeFirst purchase of a Rohan product and so far very impressed. Delivery was prompt and I got the jacket in time for my Yorkshire Three Peaks walk, where it performed perfectly in terms of wind and rain protection, whilst also being lightweight and easy to carry in backpack when needed. The pit zips under the arms worked perfectly in terms of preventing a built up of perspiration whilst climbing some of the more extream inclines. Color also ideal for something worn in open terain, where if something goes wrong you want it easy for people to find you. Highly recommended.2 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?11 months agoMen's Ventus Waterproof Jacket Slate GreyI’m a snowboarder and trying to find a 20k waterproof and breathable outer shell this side of £500 is almost impossible. This jacket is amazing. I’ve ridden for 2 days in torrential rain in Avoriaz and this thing has kept me dry and sheltered from the wind. The hood is big enough to ride with a helmet, and the pockets large enough to accommodate gloves/goggles on the commute to the mountain. The inside pocket is handy for the phone too. 100% would recommend.5 people found this review helpful. Was this review helpful?1 year ago12

Our DWR finish is an advanced treatment which dramatically increases the water repellency of our fabrics. On its own, it offers a useful level of shower resistance; used in conjunction with our Barricade technology, it reduces the tendency of the face fabric to wet out and maximizes breathability.

The Barricade standard gives you reassurance of a high level of waterproof protection. All of our waterproofs must meet our Barricade Standard to be ten times the British standard for waterproofing.
The water-repellent outer fabric, the PU hydrophilic membrane and a protective liner are bonded together to form a single fabric. As a result, these jackets are lightweight whilst maintaining great durability.
