Local Knowledge
There are several famous gardens within a 20 minutes’ drive of Stow-on-the-Wold including Hidcote Manor, Snowshill Manor, Bourton House, Sezincote, Kiftsgate Court and Batsford Arboretum.
Local points of interest include St Edwards Church (The famous Yew trees), Borzoi Bookshop, Battle Viewpoint Donnington (English Civil War), Upper and Lower Slaughter, Batsford Arboretum, Bourton-on-the-Water, Broadway Tower, Chastleton House (National Trust), Rollright Stone Circle, Cotswold Farm Park (home of Adam Henson from Countryfile, who is also a regular visitor to Rohan Stow!)
The team would tempt you to try afternoon tea at Huffkins which was voted ‘Best Afternoon Tea’ in Britain by My Weekly Magazine. Also check out The Eagle & Child, part of England’s oldest Inn, and a very popular local watering hole.
Other hotspots include Cotswold Baguettes (takeaway only), Coach House Coffee (amazing coffee and homemade cakes) , Lucy's Tearoom (charming location in the square), The Bell (favourite with locals and visitors alike), The Kings Arms (500 year-old former Coach Inn) and Cotswold Cheese Shop (local cheese and fresh bread).
