    Tiny traces of silver are distributed through the fabric of the long-sleeved Coast Shirt; their antimicrobial properties prevent the growth of odour-causing bacteria. This use of FreshWay Technology means you’ll feel fresh on long, hot days.

    With an outer pocket that’s perfect for keeping small essentials, like a handkerchief or small notepad, close at hand, this is a great option for travelling. As temperatures climb Dynamic Moisture Control (DMC) will wick moisture away from your skin, keeping you comfortable whether you’re heading out on a long train journey or an all-day trip.

    In the midday sun, the UPF40+ protection offered by the lightweight fabric of this shirt will shield you from harmful UV rays. It’s the perfect piece to throw on after your suncream, and before your sunglasses, ready to enjoy the sunshine.

    UPF40+ Sun Protection Note

    All of our garments are tested for their Ultraviolet Protection Factor, and those that achieve a rating of UPF40+ are noted as protection against UV. Garments awarded a 40+ UPF block 97.5% of UV radiation rating, so for every 40 units of radiation, 39 are blocked, and 1 contact the skin.

Packable - Pack Size 300ml

Low pack size is a benefit whether you’re packing for a day’s walking or for the trip of a lifetime. We continually scrutinise fabric specification and garment construction to minimise the packed size of our clothing. The actual pack size is tested and listed.

Fast Drying - Drying Time 2 hours

All Rohan clothing is designed to be very fast drying – as much a benefit for unexpected downpours as anything else. It’s easy to wash and often needs no ironing. Almost all garments will dry overnight, meaning you can take less with you. We test every item and list its drying time.

    DMC is a wicking technology that rapidly spreads the moisture our bodies create across the surface area of a garment. This can be achieved through the technical construction of the garment or by a performance coating and ensures that the garment dries more quickly, encourages evaporative heat loss and helps you stay cooler and more comfortable for longer.

  • Anti Odour Silver

    Garments treated with our FreshWay; Anti Odour Silver technology benefit from the natural antimicrobial properties of silver. Tiny traces of silver, distributed evenly throughout the garment, inhibit the growth of bacteria reducing mould and odour. This treatment is permanent – it will never wash or wear out.

  • Sun Protection UPF 40+

    This garment has been tested in accordance with recognised international standards for ultraviolet radiation protection – and has been awarded a rating of UPF 40+. The protection offered may be significantly reduced with extended wear or if the garment is stretched or wet. Any associated UV risks will vary according to individual skin type or medical history.
