Made By Rohan, Worn By You - Norman's Story
Meet Norman, embarking on a 1000km trek through Spain whilst sporting Rohan gear.
As part of our ongoing mission to showcase your incredible journeys and experiences through our new series: ‘Made by Rohan, Worn by You’, we’re thrilled to introduce you to the second star of the series and today’s explore article.
Meet Norman, a loyal customer for many years, who we had the pleasure of catching up with to find out how our products have supported his adventures.
Trekking in Spain
Norman is a passionate trekker with an adventurous spirit. We first caught up with him after he left a glowing review about how our clothing helped him on an unforgettable 1000km trek across Spain.
"My Rohan gear stood up to the heat, the dust, the sweat, the torrential rain, basically everything that Spain threw at it!" Norman shared.
This month, he undertook another ambitious trek, walking three Camino routes across Spain, totaling 1400km. His journey took him from Almería across the Sierra Nevadas, through Granada and Córdoba to Mérida, then north through Salamanca and Zamora, and finally east to Ourense and Santiago de Compostela. "The terrain and weather have been varied and rough at times, but the Rohan gear has stood up to the test," he said.
Standout Gear on Norman's Travels
Norman discovered the true meaning of versatility with his Microgrid Fleece. "I bought the Microgrid Fleece for this trip to wear in the mountains. However, it has been great on the plains as well. It is quite cool in the early mornings and the wind flows freely across the plains. The fleece kept me warm without overheating me, and crucially, prevented the cold wind from penetrating through," he explained.
He also praised our Stretch Bags trousers. "The Stretch Bags are, I think, still the best hiking trousers for a hot climate like Spain. I don't think I would wear anything else. Come to think of it, that is all I wear, even when I'm not hiking. They're great everyday trousers," he added.
"I couldn't have done this trip without Rohan, thanks!"
Favourite Features
One of the standout features Norman highlighted was the packability of our gear, which aligns with one of our core principles. "I have had to carry everything I need for 10 weeks, so both weight and space are critical in the backpack," he noted.
